Program Information

This free cleanroom technician training program is intended for students in Utah who are interested in pursuing work as cleanroom technicians. There is no cost to students to participate. We aim to complete each student’s training within the same week it begins, however we understand that this may not always be possible and are happy to allow students to rollover into the next scheduled training.

Semiconductor companies need technicians to help keep manufacturing running safely and reliably. Depending on the role, technicians may monitor production equipment, follow manufacturing and safety procedures, check process data, handle materials, and inspect, maintain, or troubleshoot tools in a cleanroom. Employers with technician careers include Micron, Texas Instruments, Intel, and TSMC. Nearby examples include Micron’s operations in Boise, Idaho; TSMC’s fab in Phoenix, Arizona; and Texas instrument's new fab in Lehi, Utah.
