Lloyd Angle Calculator

Calculate Lloyd Angle:

Incident Beam Wavelength: [nm]
Desired Grating Period: [nm]

Lloyd Mirror Angle: [deg]

figure: Half of the incident beam is focused directly onto the target while the other half reflects off of a mirror before reaching the target. The additional distance traveled by the reflected beam incurs a phase difference with the direct beam and creates a constructive/destructive interference pattern at the point of target. This interference patter is used to create grating periods in laser holography.
